Jamming with Upstate NY Faves
In-person entertainment is back and better than ever, and YBR Casino & Sports Book is celebrating the return of in-real-life fun with a rollicking lineup of bands and singer/songwriters in the Recreation Area and elsewhere around the property.
Most of these acts will perform on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights in the new Party Pit, which is sure to be hopping.
One of the most exciting headliners on the list is Tom Nitti, an Upstate New York native and rising country-music star whose recent song, “Couple Cans Deep,” was released to critical acclaim this spring. Nitti has had quite a journey to the world of music; after graduating high school in New Hartford, he joined the United States Army as a 19D Airborne Cavalry Scout. While deployed in Afghanistan, he earned the Purple Heart award for sustaining a traumatic brain injury while taking on mortar fire.
He performs July 9.
Later in the month, the Beadle Brothers, the de facto house band from Turning Stone Resort Casino’s Tin Rooster dance hall, will take the stage to play their driving and jiving country tunes. The Beadles—Matt and Bruce—grew up in Norwich and are a fan favorite across Upstate New York.
Finally, on July 30, Chris Eves, another Upstate native, takes the stage. Eves normally plays a mix of rock, funk, country and blues with a band dubbed the New Normal, but for this show he’ll be performing solo. Eves certainly can carry a show on his own; in nearly 10 years of playing music, he has shared the stage with diverse artists such as the Zac Brown Band, Gregg Allman and others.
